Pinterest Love: Felt Toddler Christmas Tree

This is why I love Pinterest. I saw this idea on there a while ago and just had to do it for Littlebit this year. I knew she’d be mega interested in the real Christmas tree and thought I could use this one as a diversion, it’s working so far!

It was so easy to make, all I used was:

  • a large piece of green felt
  • various coloured felts
  • ribbons
  • scraps of material
  • buttons
  • fabric scissors
  • tailors chalk
  • Christmas craft kit including pipe cleaners, pom poms and foam cut outs
  • a selection of cookie cutters
  • wobbly eyes (for the gingerbread man)
  • hot glue gun

I folded the felt in half lengthways, marked it up with tailors chalk then cut the tree shape out.

I used cookie cutters as templates for my “baubles” and then got creative with the colours, bits and bobs and glue. Really easy and done in about an hour and a half, yet Littlebit has had hours of fun out of it already and it’s only the 7th December.
