The lovelies over at Findmeagift.co.uk sent us this fab Joseph Joseph Nest 9 Plus Set a few months back. We’ve been having lots of baking fun with it. It’s perfect for the small kitchen where there’s not a lot of storage space, like mine as it all packs away inside each other and only takes up the room of the large mixing bowl.

We’re off on our holidays with Grandma & Grandad soon so we set to baking some treats that could be frozen and taken on our week away. We baked 4 types of cookies:
Nutella Cookies – unfortunately these aren’t going to make it to our holiday as we ate them all (ooops!) They are the easiest biscuits to make ever and can be in your tummy from start to finish in 20 minutes, winner!
Nigella’s Cranberry and White Chocolate cookies – Daddypinkwellies favourites
Peanut oaty cookies – Mummypinkwellies adapted oaty biscuit recipe. This is the linked recipe but instead of adding fruit I threw in a 200g packet of honey roasted peanuts. They are scrummy!
Triple chocolate and hazelnut cookies – Mummypinkwellies very own recipe. Using Nigella’s Cranberry and White Chocolate Cookie recipe above but substituting 50g of the flour for 50g cocoa powder and adding white chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips and hazelnuts instead of the cranberries, pecans and white chocolate. Yummy!
All of these freeze really well and are easy to make so the kids can get involved. The only part I wouldn’t let Littlebit do was when I needed to melt butter, sugar and golden syrup for the oaty cookies, the rest she could join right in with.
The Joseph Joseph Nest 9 Plus Set is a God send for the small kitchen owner, because of it’s brilliant way of packing away. It’s great for little hands too with gripper rubber bases on the bowls and easy to use handles and spouts Littlebit found it really easy to use. She loved the bright colours too. We spent 3 hours in all baking and she didn’t get bored at all, even helping with the washing up.
The set retails at £39.99 which at first sounds a little expensive but you do get a lot for your money.
